Mike Riley started this blog for ODTUG back on February 1, 2009, as a way to help communicate in smaller doses with those interested in ODTUG or its conferences. Along the way, we’ve talked about many things, featured a lot of interviews, had some personal postings about vacations and other thoughts, and we hope you’ve enjoyed it. However, it is time to transition this blog into one owned by the organization. The ODTUG Board of Directors (http://www.odtug.com/apex/f?p=500:210:0) will be the ones responsible for the blog, and we’ll try to make sure each posting, whether by Board Member, volunteer, or other interested party, is fully credited. Mike still intends to contribute when possible, and we hope that you’ll continue to follow along.

So, for all the authors of past and future posts, we submit to the public this generic disclaimer statement:

Disclaimer:  The views that are expressed in this blog are the author’s views, and not necessarily those of their respective employers, or directly those of ODTUG.

What is ODTUG?

ODTUG is an independent, not-for-profit global organization providing education, support, advocacy, and networking opportunities for all developers, using a variety of technologies, who work on Oracle Databases.

ODTUG’s 20,000+ members design applications, model data, write code, manage application systems, maintain legacy code, and are key to the middle-tier technology in Oracle Fusion.

ODTUG’s annual conference, ODTUG Kaleidoscope, is considered the premier conference for developers in the Oracle community.

Hyperion and Essbase users have also found a home at ODTUG, with ODTUG Kaleidoscope offering the breadth of content that used to be available at the Hyperion Solutions and Top Gun conferences.

If you use Java, PHP, ColdFusion, Toad, Visual Basic, or Visual C++, among others, ODTUG is the forum for talking about your approach and learning what other developers are doing.

Still using Designer or Oracle Forms and Reports? You are not alone. The ODTUG membership network provides you with the support you need.

ODTUG is the premier source of up-to-date information and developer networking on the technology underlying the Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft applications. Fusion is coming . . . see the future today through ODTUG.

Whether you design applications, model data, write code, manage application systems, or maintain legacy code you need to be a part of ODTUG.

Simply put . . . ODTUG is the warehouse for development topics
